Glasgow.

We only did a short walk up town then we hopped onto the tourist bus for our obligatory sightsee around the town.  There is a lot of construction happening, they are revamping and modernising.  They are also setting up for the Olympian & Paralympic Parade tomorrow, so some of our attempts at photos was made tricky.  We have to talk slowly as do the shop assistance for us, we have had some laughs!  Glasgow is rather scruffy, but so much to appreciate with their universities eg Strathclyde is the largest in Scotland.  The merchant district is undergoing major changes as Glasgow transforms from the major shipbuilding industry it once was to the insurance/retail capitol of Scotland.  They are renovating the old historic buildings into luxury apartments (they certainly don't look it from the outside!)

The lovely architecture on the older buildings is spoilt with the soot debris from its past glory days!  We had another great and I have 2 more badges.  Note - Thommo has head cold, think of me while he grumbles!!  More photos below xoxoxo

Thommo in front of border sign, and the Glasgow City Hall and me in front of the Glasgow Art Gallery.  Hopefully this will grt away on the free wifi?

  1. Oh what a bummer getting a cold! Try and have a rest, you seem to be up and running non-stop (and having fun).
We can compare Scotland's badge too now.
